County Of Wilkin Assistant County Attorney in Breckenridge, Minnesota

ASSISTANT COUNTY ATTORNEY The Wilkin County Attorney s Office is seeking a full-time Assistant County Attorney. The Assistant County Attorney is responsible for performing professional legal work as assigned by the County Attorney. Typical responsibilities include criminal/juvenile prosecution and representing County agencies in both child and adult protection as well as other civil matters at all stages of court proceedings. The Assistant County Attorney provides legal advice to Wilkin County when assigned and researches legal issues as necessary. Qualified Candidates must meet the following qualifications: Juris Doctorate and Admitted to the MN State Bar Additional Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership skills, strong communication and public relation skills Understand principles, practices, and procedures of public law as it relates to legal proceedings at the county level Prior to hire, finalists will be required to pass a background investigation. A standard 12- month probationary period applies. Wilkin County has a policy allowing requests for Telework when appropriate.
