Minimum Qualifications Six months experience providing health care support in a health care facility; OR Completion of a vocational training program in a health care support area (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant). NOTE: Preference will be given to those applicants who possess a knowledge of medical terminology. Additional Required Qualifications Maintain current CPR certification or renew within 90 days of hire. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to learn computer applications appropriate to functions. The person in this position will occasionally be required to assist in lifting patients up to 200 lbs, and supplies up to 50 lbs. Position Duties 90% CLINICAL Providing patient support, and patient care via a telehealth platform as an extension of the physician practice. Serves as a liaison and coordinates information between providers, other clinical staff, and patients. 10% EDUCATION/PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Maintains CPR Certification. Participates in Student Health Services and Oregon State University staff development activities. Evaluates own professional development and the effectiveness of care. Improves the quality of care through continuing education. Attends CME or seminars which may be recommended by supervisor. Shares information obtained at workshops with peers.
