Position Summary
The Senior Asset Management Analyst will support Bedrock’s Asset Managers who are responsible for a portfolio of operating assets in Bedrock portfolio in Detroit and Cleveland. Operating asset types that the Asset Management Team manages include but are not limited to office, retail, parking, multifamily, to industrial properties. Responsibilities
Assist with various analytical projects regarding portfolio and property performance
Lead analytical projects regarding portfolio and property performance
Create various models and analyses using Argus and Microsoft Excel, including cash flow projections, valuation, credit analysis, and sensitivity analysis
Perform market research to support the Asset Manager’s oversight and management of the operating portfolio
Assist in analyzing new lease opportunities, including evaluation of market leasing assumptions, reviewing operating expense estimates, and analyzing tenant financials
Assist in the review of periodic financial and variance reporting for portfolio assets
Work across Finance, Acquisitions, and Development Teams to support Asset Managers as necessary with collaboration on new developments, acquisitions, and refinancing
Review periodic financial and variance reporting for portfolio assets
Support the preparation of regular reporting of key information (i.e., retail tenant sales, tenant delinquencies, etc.)
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics accounting, real estate, or a related field
Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a financial analyst style role specifically in commercial real estate
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated desire to work in and learn about the commercial real estate industry
Basic understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals and property operations
Proficient using Microsoft Excel to analyze and model real estate investments
Experience with real estate research and relevant data providers (e.g., CoStar) a plus
Experience with Argus and Yardi a plus
