Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years of risk management, information technology or internal auditing experience

  • Experience with the business or mortgage process

  • Experience in a varying-scale risk projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 years of risk management, information technology or internal auditing experience

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks/industry standards, risk assessment methodology, risk management processes, risk appetite statements

  • Experience in developing procedure and policy documentation

  • Mortgage and financial services regulatory compliance experience and exposure

  • Demonstrated proficiency in overseeing risk projects spanning diverse scales and complexities

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical area or equivalent technical training/experience

Job Summary

As a Senior Enterprise Risk Specialist, you'll oversee comprehensive risk assessments, develop and implement risk frameworks, analyze and collect data/metrics for informed decision-making and mentor team members to foster a culture of risk awareness and mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in leading company-wide and deep dive risk assessments by conducting comprehensive risk identification and analysis across financial, operational, strategic, and legal/compliance risk domains

  • Manage the creation, monitoring, collection, and escalation of key risk indicators (KRIs), enabling proactive assessment of the evolving risk management landscape

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive risk and control framework to enhance the testing and monitoring environment, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, frameworks, various assurance functions and organizational objectives

  • Prepare and deliver in-depth risk reports and dashboards to senior leadership and stakeholders, effectively outlining notable risks, emerging trends, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to draft concise summaries of issues and associated remediation plans, meticulously documenting root causes of identified risks and evaluating the efficacy of risk management processes

  • Aggregate and curate a wide range of datasets related to both risk threats and potential opportunities, empowering stakeholders with actionable insights essential for making informed decisions and innovative solutions

  • Foster a culture of risk awareness by actively engaging in a three-lines-of-defense approach throughout Rocket Companies, promoting alignment and enhancement of risk management practices

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, offering support and expertise to facilitate their professional growth and development
