Job Description:

Processes and prepares pathology and cytology specimens, as defined by CLIA, for pathologist and cytotechnologist interpretation. Job duties may consist of routine and special staining procedures, IHC and ISH, Mohs and routine frozen sections as required in the diagnosis, treatment and management of pathologic conditions on patients of all ages. Problem solving skills, participation in Quality Assurance, Quality Control monitoring, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting are required.

Education Qualifications:

Graduate of an associate degree in HistotechnicianORSuccessful completion of 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) or an associate degree, with a combination of 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) of biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both)

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certification as histotechnician (HT) required within one year from the date of hire or the date of American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) testing eligibility.

$26.17 - $38.40 / hour

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
