Position Summary/Description:

A SIGN -ON BONUS OF $6,283 IS AVAILABLE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT OF THIS POSITION PAID IN 2 INSTALLMENTS WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF HIRE :

$3,141.50 WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE DATE & $3,141.50 12 MONTHS AFTER HIRE DATE .

UNC -CH has multiple generations and brands of controls, each generation requiring different software tools, interfaces, operating systems, architecture, protocols, components, migration planning, and specialized training. This position focuses on the design, specification, installation, maintenance, and operation of assigned brands/generations of DDC controls, which involves developing and debugging building level system architectures including interfaces between varying protocols and manufacturers. This position performs highly complex and specialized work on DDC control systems for critical applications such as operating rooms, biosafety labs, art museums, repositories, and data centers where environmental control is mission critical in addition to meeting indoor air quality, occupant comfort, and energy efficiency requirements. Additional responsibilities include providing technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to other technicians to ensure they have the programming tools and other resources they need, making recommendations to management that are strategically focused on refining controls strategy moving forward, and participating in technical meetings.

Education and Experience:

Associate’s degree in electronics; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
