MORE ABOUT THE SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST POSITION:

CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this Speech Language Pathologist opportunity include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities

• Use activities and home exercise programs to improve swallowing, breathing, cognition, speech and communication, and/or any other speech therapy related function

• Address cognitive-communication deficits, including memory, attention, and problem-solving skills, to enhance patients' functional communication abilities

• Collaborate with nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and progress notes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards

• Adhere to state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures related to speech-language pathology services

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST:

• Successful completion of the National Certification Examination

• Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

• 1 year of verifiable, supervised professional experience within the last 3 years

• Home health experience preferrred

• Active SLP license in MO

• BLS issued through American Heart Association or American Red Cross

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
