TURNER INDUSTRIES HOLDING CO LLC Entry Level Drafter/Detailer in PARIS, Texas

Turner Industries Group Pipe Fabrication Division is hiring anEntry Level Drafterat our fabrication shop in Paris, TX.

Hours: Monday - Friday- 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; some overtime may be required

Job does not pay per diem. Local candidates only.

This role will draft detailed construction drawings, topographical profiles and related maps and specification sheets used in planning and construction.

Functional Requirements:

Plots maps and charts showing profiles and cross-sections, indicating relation of topographical contours and elevations to buildings, retaining walls, tunnels, overhead power lines, and other structure; drafts detailed drawings of structures employing structural reinforcing steel, concrete, masonry, wood and other structural material; produces plans and details of foundations, building frame, floor and roof framing and other structural elements; may accompany survey crew in field to locate grading markers or to collect data required for revision of construction drawings; performs additional assignments as required.

Qualification Standards:

1.) Experience in AutoCAD preferred.

2.) Strong computer skills required.

3.) Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills.

4.) Post offer drug screen and signed acceptance of the Turner industries, Ltd. Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.

5.) Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the work place.

Physical and Mental Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawings or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, and plans; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards

Work Environment Factors:

a.) Location:pipe fabrication facility site and/or office environment

b.) Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site:uneven ground level; obstructed pathways

c.) Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site:predominately indoor climate; various noise levels cause by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances

Miscellaneous Requirements: There will be times that the individual may be required to perform a task other than their normal operation as required by the company or the foreman, owing to the job demand.
