Amergis Behavior Clinician Crisis Stabilization Unit, Registered or Licensed in Santa Rosa, California

ACSW/ASW/AMFT/APCC:

Local: $55 per hour with supervision provided

Travel package: $2617 per week gross (including allowances)

LCSW/LMFT/LPCC:

Local: $65 per hour

Travel Package: $3017 gross per week (including allowances)

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Setting: Crisis Stabilization Unit

Available shift: 4x10s

Noc Shift :9p-7a

Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat

Contract: Ongoing assignment, possibility of converting to perm

Start Date: ASAP

Additional Details: Must be comfortable in psych setting, 6 months minimum experience in mental health/behavioral setting preferred but not required

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Clinician to join our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) team. The CSU is a vital component of our organization, providing short-term crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. As a Behavior Clinician in our CSU, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive support to individuals in crisis, promoting their well-being, and facilitating their transition to appropriate long-term care or community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments of individuals admitted to the CSU.

  • Evaluate individuals' behavioral health status, risk factors, strengths, and needs.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized crisis intervention plans.

  • Crisis Intervention and Support:

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and behavioral support to individuals experiencing acute distress.

  • Implement evidence-based interventions to de-escalate crises and promote stabilization.

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops to enhance coping skills and resilience.

  • Case Management and Advocacy:

  • Develop and implement discharge plans in collaboration with clients, families, and external agencies.

  • Coordinate referrals to appropriate community resources, including mental health treatment providers, housing assistance programs, and social services.

  • Advocate for clients' rights and access to services within the healthcare and social service systems.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards for confidentiality and record-keeping.

  • Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and peer support specialists.

  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision sessions to review client progress and treatment goals.

    Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program.

  • Current registration or licensure with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), or equivalent in the state of California.

  • Candidates with BBS registration will receive supervision to fulfill licensure requirements.

  • Preferred minimum of 6 months of experience providing direct clinical services to individuals with mental health and behavioral health disorders, preferably in a crisis intervention or psychiatric setting.

  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, trauma-informed care principles, and evidence-based treatment modalities.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with diverse populations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with community partners.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
