Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Ventura, California. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, executing journal entries, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as GAAP and SOX internal controls. You will also be expected to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high-paced environment and work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Process financial transactions and post them in the general ledger

• Prepare and analyze journal entries

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX internal controls

• Handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Use Microsoft Excel and QAD ERP system for various accounting tasks

• Demonstrate solid written and verbal communication skills

• Work independently and as part of a team

• Continually take on new tasks with a higher degree of difficulty

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. Requirements • Proven experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with the QAD software

• Strong understanding of US GAAP standards

• Experience with General Ledger maintenance

• Ability to perform Journal Entries accurately

• Knowledge and understanding of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• CPA or CMA certification would be advantageous

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy in all work

• Strong ethical standards and integrity in all business dealings

• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and developments.
